A terrific book to learn about medicinal chemistry - even if you're not a chemist
By Amazon Customer
I didn't give it five stars because I "love" medicinal chemistry. After all, I'm an electrical engineer. Even so, I was surprised to find that this book gives a very clear understanding of the concepts involved. It even has interesting side-bar windows that discuss accidental or unusual discoveries, giving much needed relief from the core subject matter, which, let's face it - you really need to be a chemist to "love". So with that background, I'd say it really deserves more than five stars. A true chemist ought to breeze through and have quite a command of the subject matter when they are done. I know it has enabled me to keep up pretty well in discussions with others that work in this area on a daily basis. Well done!
